How can a Unique ID be read when operating in standalone mode?

Category: Feature
Hashtags: #ID #info

Answer

Depending on the MCU part number and manufacturer, specific areas such as the Unique Device ID (UDID) register or Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) may be defined as an information area.
Once the start address (any) and size (up to 128 bytes) of the information area are defined, the data from this area is automatically read into a dedicated buffer within the ICP programmer channel. After programming is completed, this buffer can be accessed either through a DLL function or via high-level RS-232 communication.
