Unstable communication when using multiple GANG programmers in a chain

Answer

Step 1: Verify that all channels in all programmer units have the same DLL/Command Line Support (-D) setting. It must be “Yes for all” or “No for all” — mixing is not allowed. (Other options do not affect communication.)Check this via Options → OEM → Summary of Options/Families…
Step 2: Confirm that all programmer units in the chain are either all G3 or all non-G3 models — a mixed configuration is not allowed.
Step 3: If Steps 1 and 2 are both correct, then improve the RS-232 cables between the chained programmers.Use short D-Sub 9-pin (male-to-female) cables with a straight-through connection using only three pins: 2, 3, and 5.
